RESULTS:

SUMMARY:

This year marked the first time the event was played as a par 72, following changes to Oceana’s back nine. 2025 Champions, Ryan Mouw and Mike Buckner fired rounds of 69-63 for a 132 total (-12), finishing three shots ahead of the four-time champions Chris Griffin and Mike DeRuiter (135 tiebreaker), with Trevor Boyd and Connor McEvoy (135 tiebreaker) rounding out the top three.

The field featured 116 two-player teams competing in this annual Best Ball tournament. Making putts was a key factor for the champions, as they capitalized on multiple holes with two strong birdie looks, ultimately carding 9 birdies in their final round. Over the weekend, they tallied 12 birdies and an eagle, with just two bogeys.

Oceana Golf Club offered up pristine greens and excellent conditions, earning praise from former champion Ken Taylor, who remarked, “Oceana was showing it’s teeth this weekend.”

Mother Nature delivered two beautiful days with sunshine, light winds, and temperatures in the low 80s. The warm, dry conditions led to fast fairways and tested short games throughout the field, as reflected in the first-round scoring average of 79.7. Scores across the board day one ranged from 65 to 96, highlighting the competitive diversity of the event. Day two the scoring was comparable as the average was 79.4 with a range of 63 to 100.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible! From our incredible volunteers and staff, to the 232 participants who showed up in support of the Joe Foster Junior Golf Fund.
