HANDICAPPING REQUIREMENT! Post ALL 2026 scores in the GHIN Mobile App. Golfers maintaining a GAM handicap should be posting ALL rounds played honestly and accurately. To maintain a current index, you should continue to post ALL adjusted gross scores for rounds played under authorized formats and by the Rules of Golf (including these tournament matches!). IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GOLFER TO BE INFORMED OF THE OFFICIAL GAM RULES, read more on their website. Other helpful resources: [Player Reference Guide – USGA] [Rules of Handicapping – USGA] [10 Things Golfers Should Know – USGA]

RULES

All of our men and ladies Certificate Holders, Playing Members, and Employees are invited to challenge their golf skills through friendly competition in our annual bracket-play Club Championship Tournament! What better way to fully experience your home course by participating in this member-exclusive event. Entry is free, but participants are responsible for any applicable golf fees based on their playing membership status.

Sign-up is open from May 21 to June 17 — allowing all participants in handicapped divisions ample time to establish the required active and up-to-date USGA Handicap Index. Pairings will be posted by 6:00 PM on June 18; once the pairings are posted no more entries will be allowed in. Members can enter two divisions only if one is the open championship.

In Match Play, the game is played by holes. A hole is won by the player which holes their ball in the fewest amount of strokes. The reckoning of holes is kept by the terms: so many holes up or all square, and so many to play. A player may concede a hole or a match at any time prior to the conclusion of the hole or the match. Concession of a stroke, hole, or match may not be declined or withdrawn. This is a bracket-style, single elimination tournament.

Time frames and match pairings for each round will be posted in the clubhouse and emailed. In each round, you must arrange to play your matches on or before the date stated. Any matches not completed in the time frame posted will result in a double forfeit. The finals will be held Sunday, August 9 starting at 9:00 AM.

  • The Championship Division will play from the Black Tee Markers with no handicap involved.
  • The Handicap Division will play from the Blue Tee Markers with handicaps playing off the lower of the two handicaps — 75% of established handicaps.
  • The Senior Division (60-70 years) will play from the White Tee Markers — 75% of established handicaps.
  • The Super Senior Division (71+ years) will play from the Gold Tee Markers — 75% of established handicaps.
  • The Ladies Division will play from the Gold Tee Markers — 75% of established handicaps.

Players who wish to compete in any handicapped division MUST have an accurate and up-to-date USGA Handicap (with at least six posted scores from the current year) to be eligible for seeding. If not established, players will automatically incur the $41 handicapping fee, charged to club credit when available or billed to the member’s account. By signing-up in to play these Divisions, you are accepting these terms. An email will be sent from GHIN letting players know the login info for their account profile; this will allow the golfers to post scores from any course from their phone or computer.

It is the golfers’ full responsibility to ESTABLISH an active USGA Handicap Index PRIOR to signing-up for the tournament and then MAINTAIN an active handicap throughout the competition and season. The more scores posted, the more representative the index, therefore golfers must continue to post ALL adjusted gross scores for ALL rounds played under authorized formats and by the Rules of Golf. Visit USGA.ORG for more clarification of the rules.
